SI Common activities implemented since 1987 include:

1. Council of Presidents (COP) Meeting – Bi-annually
2. On Board Ship Conference (OBSC) – Yearly by IYEO
3. SSEAYP NEWS – Yearly and edited by members of OBSC
4. SI Award Scheme – Awarded once every three year ( 13th SIGA Indonesia)

5.1 SSEAYP International Brunei hosts a delegation from Shiga Prefecture, Japan.
5.2 SSEAYP International Philippines hosts a delegation from Wakayama Prefecture, Japan
5.3 SSEAYP International Malaysia hosts a delegation from Osaka, Japan
5.4 The Association of Ship for Southeast Asian Youth (ASSEAY) hosts a delegation from Tottori Prefecture, Japan

6 Contribution to a community (Rainbow Love Project)
Relief operation by the SSEAYP International Alumni Association, Inc- Philippines for the people who suffered from the explosion of Mt. Pinatubo.

7 Essay Contest
Essay contest winners from SSEAYP alumni association were invited to Tokyo in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of SSEAYP in 1998

8 Cultural Exchange
Photo Exhibition was conducted to show different culture of Asean and Japan in 1999
