...Going "Beyond Boundaries"
with Dawn Pereira and her batchmates of SSEAYP 2002

Hi... That's me with the Ship Captain
“From the day I got news that I was selected, till the day I met the rest of the Singapore Contingent, through our training days and right uptill the day I bid farewell to Nippon Maru... I felt like it was all a DREAM!"
“Honestly, I did not set any other agenda for myself other than to make as many friends as possible and learn, share and enjoy the programme as much as possible”

My batchmates... a truly inspiring group of youths

Guess what? They even heard the Merlikon roared!

“I was excited to share my culture, my lifestyle as well as my heritage with them.”

“Can you guess which is the HIPPIEST, Most Happening… HOTTEST HUNKS & Babes? SOLID H, of course !!!!!!”

Moo... Moo... Even this cow was DISTRACTED by SOLID H
“The homestay experiences remain
very special for me. Waking up in morning and going through the ‘daily routines’ that were very different from my own, was indeed very ENRICHING.”

Yoroshiku... Watashino 'Oka-san' to 'Oto-san'

Look... who is making sushi? It's Dawn-chan!

Que Sera Sera... What ever will be... will be...

“Life does go on after SSEAYP but not almost like before because, with all the new friends and “relationships” made…
LIFE will NEVER be the SAME”

Editor’s Comments:
Throughout Wavelength’s interview with Dawn , she was definitely still very much OVERWHELMED with “Nippon Maru-sickness”. When asked ,“what about SSEAYP does she misses most?” Her reply : “Oh...the MOONDECK”

OOOppppsSS… Which part of the ship is that? Can someone enlighten Wavelength, please. Heeeee...heeee..Heeeee ~ WL
