The Happy Faces of SSEAYP 2004

Ask yourself...

What were you doing in the past three months on Tuesday and Thursday nights? How have you been spending your weekends? Do you know that while you were busy working overtime in your office or preparing dinner for your children at home, or simply lazing around at home feeling BORED, the SPYs batch 2004 were busy preparing for a great trip of their lifetime! They were doing FUN things, they were active with full of zest and energy working together preparing for SSEAYP 2004.

The collective wisdom accumulated through the past thirty voyages of ‘The Ship for South East Asian Youth Programme’ has been a strong motivator for the SSEAYP 2004 contingent to do things differently when preparing for their voyage.

“If I had to choose between a sphere and a cube, it will be a sphere because it reflects my expectations set for the Singapore Contingent. A sphere with its rounded shape and smooth surface represents the collective potentials of each PY as well as the synergy achieved through teamwork. With a little push (in the form of facilitative leadership, empowerment and clearly defined Mission), the sphere can roll towards its finish line (towards achieving the Vision of the team guided by its core Values).”
